Finally to our next destination, we came to Shalom Winery and Orchard ( http://www.shalomorchard.com/ ) in Franklin, Maine approximately 1/2 hour from Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. They are the only organic winery in the state and also have various fruits and vegetables, wine, mead, hard cider, canned goods, etc. A snowstorm hit overnight and there are several inches out there right now. We went for a walk around their property while the snow pounded Kenna's tender face...though she loved it and laughed the whole time, we got her back in by the fire after only so long.
