Daddy's off to work

Well, as I was running late rushing out the door this morning, I grabbed a "to-go" mug full of coffee, took a sip, and watched as coffee ran down my jacket, shirt and specifically all over my khakis. Not one of my prouder moments, but nonetheless, I ran upstairs and grabbed another, though not quite as ironed, pair of similar khakis. Now I was even later and as I put my belt on, the buckle broke. I said out loud: "This is not exactly how I envisioned my day starting." Kenna snapped back with: "Well, Daddy, you're good at fixing things." Though this is probably not entirely accurate from an engineering, plumbing, carpentry or overall maintenance perspective, it was nice to hear from a 5 year old.
